Art is an Auto-Radical-Thought projected in a tangible form. I use everyday found objects as part of the medium to convey my momentaneous ideas. The altered manifestation of found objects in my artworks magnifies the reciprocal characters of yin yang. The black and white of yin yang represent the destruction and creation forces that interact on each other in an eternal cycle of reversal.
In the ‘Growth’, a little girl's dress is cut in the middle to form a spiral, which resembles the shape of DNA. Cutting is an act of destruction. Destruction is the precedence of creation.
In the ‘Leveler’, the spirit tube of a level is replaced by a small vial of perfume. Will this feminine replacement make the masculine tool in a better balance?
The ‘Bad Art’ (bad reads baËd, and means bath in German) consists of a ‘Chair’ (throne) made of toilet seat, and a ‘champagne fountain’, which is a nicely wrapped washbasin. Chair symbolizes power, status, or position. However, no matter who we are, when we seat on the throne (which means toilet in British slang), we are all mortal.
Hair is one of my favor media. It’s a symbol of power in the biblical story, while it’s an emblem of trouble in the eastern value. Both trouble and power could be a lock, if their meanings of existence are not interpreted. Locks is lock.
Art is unique. The uniqueness of Art and that of all beings are different, yet the same. They bear the duality of destruction and creation, which undergoes the eternal cycle of reversal; achieves towards oneness.
